Back in 2017 Brendon Love, an attorney and friend of the HB Huddle shared an in-depth presentation on the importance and scope of the Board of Supervisors. Please click https://sblwdems.wordpress.com/analysis-of-orange-county-government/ to review the presentation.
Below are results of the election for the HB area
The results are disappointing but not tragic. The 48th was created to favor Republicans. It was quite an accomplishment to gain the seat in 2018 and dismiss a do nothing Representative that had been contributing next to zero. Harley Rouda served us admirably from 2018 till now. He will be back, with our help. See his statement by clicking this link:https://harleyforcongress.com/media-center/results/

GAVIN NEWSON NON RECALL
RHONDA BOLTON SELECTED TO THE HB CITY COUNCIL
On Monday, July 26 the HB City Council voted 4-2 to select Rhonda Bolton to replace the vacancy left when Tito Ortiz resigned. She was sworn in that evening. Bolton is an attorney who has served on the HB Human Relations Task Force. She will serve out Ortiz’ three year term. And sadly some very vocal HB residents want to remove the council members who selected her. Hopefully they won’t be able to mount a successful recall campaign against our local leaders.
